The logo Sibley/Peteet Design created for the Barton Springs/Edwards Aquifer Conservation District was accepted into the 2009 regional design annual for Print magazine. Oscar Morris designed the logo, and Rex Peteet was art director. The project was a partnership with Sherry Matthews Advocacy Marketing to develop a new identity for BSEACD, an organization committed to conserving, protecting, recharging, and preventing waste of groundwater and to preserving all aquifers within the District.
Upon learning that the mark was accepted into the publication, Oscar said, "When this design was presented to the client, one of the board members was so pleased with the solution that she teared up. It's a great feeling to know that your work has hit the nail on the head like that. The industry recognition is a nice feather in the cap too. I guess you could say the idea 'holds water.'"
